Skiing or snowboarding is very fun, but if an athlete performs a certain training plan or just skates for a whole day, his legs can get pretty tired. In order to avoid this, Roam Robotics created an exoskeleton that reduces the load on the knees.
The development of the company allows to use the exoskeleton in automatic or usual mode. The first of them anticipates the movements of the skier, and then corrects the load on the legs, based on the received data. The manual version is designed for experienced athletes who are confidently standing on their feet, able to independently perform complex tricks and participate in long races.
The creators of the sports exoskeleton note that the device is useful not only to elderly skiers, because of the age it became difficult to perform long races and do complex tricks. Roam Ski is also suitable for beginners – with the help of belt drives and air cushions, the exoskeleton will be able to support the skier, allow you to better stay on the track and perform tricks with less risk to your health. With him, athletes will be less tired after long races.
This sports exoskeleton is cheaper than medical analogues, however, first of all you need to reserve one for yourself – the reserve price is 99 dollars. After that, it remains only to wait – the release of Roam Ski is scheduled for January 2019. It is then possible to purchase it, making payment in the amount of 2000-2500 dollars. The developers do not yet name the exact price, but note that enthusiasts who dream of getting maximum emotions from each ski season will definitely be satisfied with the purchase.
